#1328 12:08 - The first cache I've found in Coimbra. We were heading to visit the monastary my daughter wanted to show me. But it was close, the Easter Sunday, you know. So we found and logged this nicely hidden cache instead. Thanks!

GC1QN83 - Portugal dos Pequenitos (Larke&Calcopirite, placed 25.8.2009)

#1329 12:30 - The second cache I've found in Coimbra. Or better - we've found. I've been here together with my daughter, who I was visiting here during here Erasmus stay at University of Coimbra.

This cache might be an easy one for locals, but for me, unexperienced with local cache-hiding customs and possibilities the local street architecture offers, it took some time and several tries to find it. In fact, as far as I cen remember, my daughter found it. Thanks for the cache!

GC293RV - Largo da Portagem (the-cachhunters, placed 24.5.2010)

#1330 13:19 - Well done and well hidden cache on a nice place. But it is not easy to pick it up...

We went following the direction shown by GPSr. But, as we approached, the signal went less and less reliable. We searched some possible though messy places and found nothing. So we sat to one of the restaurant tables, ordered drinking (my first - and last - beer in correctly sized glas - 0,5 liter - I'd got in Portugal) and sandwiches and observed the square. But no idea...

After the lunch we left. Going to the bridge I tried one possible hideout, just for sure. And it was there! But there were also a lot of muggles all around. It was impossible to pick it without notice. So we returned later, retrieving the box "on the fly" while passing by and returning it similar way some minutes after.

GC18DXG - O Circuito da Romanizaçao II -Ruínas de Conímbriga (bttus, placed 6.1.2008)

#1331 18:26 - Found after visiting the magnificient ruines! I'd never heard/learned about Roman vestiges in Portugal before, so I was bit suprised to found such a big and quite well preserved city here.

Thanks for the cache - it was one of few such "large" I found in this country.
